Unit needs regassing
Refrigerant gas cannot simply be “topped up” without proper procedure.
Under F-Gas regulations, our engineers must first carry out a full leak inspection to identify why the system has lost gas.
Refrigerant is a sealed system component, so loss of gas indicates a fault that must be diagnosed and repaired where possible before recharging.
Process we follow:
- Inspect system and check for leaks (F-Gas compliant checks)
- Repair any identified leaks (if applicable)
- Pressure test the system
- Evacuate and vacuum the system
- Re-charge with the correct refrigerant to manufacturer specification
- Issue service record / F-Gas compliance documentation
Only after these steps can the system be safely and legally recharged.
