Cambridge
Old colleges, new science, and hot summers
The East of England is one of the driest parts of the UK, and Cambridge can get very warm in summer. Terraced houses off Mill Road and in Romsey, and newer homes in Trumpington and Eddington, often have a bedroom that's hard to sleep in on a hot night.
Much of central Cambridge is in conservation areas with plenty of listed buildings, so outdoor units need careful placing. And with labs, offices and science parks all over the city, a lot of our work here is cooling for equipment rooms and workspaces.

FAQs
Air con in Cambridge: your questions
Still unsure? Call us on 0330 043 7869, 7 days a week.
How much does air conditioning cost in Cambridge?
Wall mounted systems start from £2,000 fully fitted, and two room systems from £3,800. Labs and larger offices are priced after a free e-survey.
Can you cool a lab or server room?
Yes. We fit systems designed to run reliably around the clock for equipment rooms.
Do I need planning permission in central Cambridge?
Possibly. In conservation areas, a unit facing the road usually needs permission, and listed buildings always need consent. A rear position often doesn't need permission.
Do you cover the villages?
Yes. We install across Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire, including Histon, Milton and Great Shelford.
Does it heat as well as cool?
Yes. All our systems are heat pumps.
