Derby
Engineering city, comfortable homes
Derby has a long engineering history, and plenty of people here work in offices, labs and factories where comfort matters. At home, it's a mix of Victorian terraces near the centre, and suburbs like Allestree, Littleover and Mickleover full of family houses.
Darley Abbey sits within the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site, so outdoor units there need a sensitive position and sometimes consent. For most Derby homes it's a straightforward one-day install.
