Portsmouth
Tightly packed terraces by the sea
Portsmouth is one of the most densely built cities in the UK, with long rows of Victorian terraces in Southsea, Fratton and North End. Space outside is tight, so the outdoor unit usually goes on a rear wall bracket or in a small back yard. We'll make sure it's quiet and neat for you and your neighbours.
Being on the coast brings sunny summers and salty air. We place outdoor units out of the worst of the sea wind where we can, and a yearly service keeps them in good shape.

FAQs
Air con in Portsmouth: your questions
Still unsure? Call us on 0330 043 7869, 7 days a week.
Is there room for an outdoor unit on a terrace?
Usually. If the yard is small, we mount the unit on a wall bracket to save space.
How much does air conditioning cost in Portsmouth?
From £2,000 fully fitted for a wall mounted system, and from £3,800 for two rooms on one outdoor unit.
Will it be noisy for my neighbours?
Modern outdoor units are quiet, and permitted development requires them to meet the MCS 020 noise standard. We position them carefully.
Do I need planning permission in Southsea?
Most homes don't, if the system heats as well as cools and meets the size and noise rules. Parts of Southsea are conservation areas, so a front-facing unit may need permission.
Do you cover Fareham, Havant and Gosport?
Yes. We install across Portsmouth and nearby towns.
