Air conditioning installation in York.
Careful air con installs for York's period homes, terraces and businesses, inside the walls and out. Fixed prices online.
York
Old city, modern comfort, done carefully
York's central conservation area covers the whole walled city and more, and it's full of listed buildings. If you live or work inside the walls, the outdoor unit needs to be discreet, and there's a good chance you'll need consent. We'll give you everything you need for that.
Outside the walls, Victorian terraces in South Bank, Clifton and Fishergate are usually simple, with a back yard that's ideal for the outdoor unit. Family homes out in Acomb, Haxby and Huntington are straightforward too.
- Inside the walls
Listed buildings and conservation rules. Discreet positions and consent help if needed.
- Shops, cafés and B&Bs
Comfortable rooms for guests and customers, installed around your busy times.
- Terraces with yards
Back yards are often the perfect place for a neat, quiet outdoor unit.

FAQs
Air con in York: your questions
Still unsure? Call us on 0330 043 7869, 7 days a week.
Can I have air conditioning inside York's city walls?
Often, yes, but most buildings there are in a conservation area and many are listed. The outdoor unit needs to be out of view, and consent is often needed. We'll check before quoting.
How much does air conditioning cost in York?
From £2,000 fully fitted for a wall mounted system, and from £3,800 for a two room system.
Do you install for guest houses and B&Bs?
Yes. Quiet units for guest rooms, fitted around your bookings.
Do I need planning permission outside the walls?
Often not, if the system heats as well as cools and meets the size and noise rules. Some streets outside the walls are in conservation areas too, so we check your address.
Does it heat as well as cool?
Yes. All our systems are heat pumps, so they heat in winter and cool in summer.
